About This Event

Art Basel in Basel is the world's premier art fair, bringing together 290+ top galleries from across the globe presenting works by over 4,000 artists. The fair encompasses all media. Painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, photography, film, and digital art. Across curated sectors including Galleries, Feature, Statements (for emerging artists), and Unlimited (large-scale works). The daily talks programme features leading artists, curators, and collectors.

Art collectors, gallery professionals, curators, designers, architects, and anyone passionate about contemporary art. Open to all ticket holders. VIP and Premium programmes available by invitation/application for serious collectors.

18-21 June 2026 (Thursday to Sunday). Vernissage preview on Wednesday 17 June. Public days typically 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Getting There

By Tram: Stop "Basel, Messeplatz" is served by lines 1, 2, 6, 14, 15, and 21. From Basel SBB station, take tram 1 or 2 (about 10 minutes).

By Train: Basel is an international rail hub with direct ICE/IC/EC services from Germany, Austria, France, Italy, and Benelux. From Badischer Bahnhof (German side), take tram 2 or 6. Just 2 stops.

By Car: 1,200-space parking garage with direct access from the A2 motorway "Messe" exit.

Tip: Hotel guests in Basel receive a free BaselCard covering all public transport (including the airport bus) for the duration of their stay. EuroAirport is 15 minutes by car or Bus 50 to Basel SBB.

Tickets & Registration

Paid entry. Day ticket CHF 69. Vernissage and Premium tickets at higher tiers (by application or invitation). Pre-booking recommended. VIP passes offer exclusive previews, lounge access, museum entry, and guided tours. Apply via the Art Basel website.
