RIBA Stirling Prize 2026
About This Event
The RIBA Stirling Prize is the UK's most prestigious architecture award, given annually to the building judged to have made the most significant contribution to architecture in the past year. The 2026 ceremony marks the 30th anniversary of the prize. Previous winners include the Falkirk Wheel Visitor Centre, the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, and Bloomberg's London HQ. The shortlist, announced in September, generates intense public debate about the state of British architecture. A special James Stirling retrospective exhibition is planned at RIBA North in Liverpool.
Who It's For
The ceremony is by invitation for RIBA members and guests. However, the associated exhibition at RIBA North is free and open to the public. A wonderful opportunity to explore the shortlisted buildings through models, drawings, and photography.
